My Story
Marilyn is a recently retired Director of Special Education who has over 30 years of experience in meeting the needs of exceptional learners from preschool age through adult. Marilyn has a Master’s degree in Education, is Board Certified in Special Education, and is certified as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Marilyn holds active licenses as an administrator of both special and general education, as well as licenses as a special and general educator in both Massachusetts and Florida. Marilyn has worked with learners representing a wide range of learning differences including but not limited to students with disabilities that fall under the categories of specific learning disabilities in the areas of reading, math, written expression, autism, developmental delay, intellectual, sensory, neurological, emotional, communication, physical, and health. Marilyn is well-versed in the special education process and enjoys acting as an educational consultant, mentoring educators and assisting parents in navigating the often-daunting special education process. After retiring in 2021, Marilyn and her husband moved to Florida where she enjoys spending time outdoors, amateur photography, and, of course, reading.
