Hello! My name is Jill Stephens, and I am so excited to be working with your student! I am a certified K-8 General Education and K-6 Special Education teacher with 12 years of classroom experience.  I am also National Board certified as well as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and have attended K-6 Science of Reading training.

My experience outside of the general education classroom includes tutoring one on one and small group instruction in Wilson reading, literacy, and math. I love all things phonics, decoding, and literacy in general!

 I initially became a teacher because I have a nephew (who is now 20 years old) with severe special needs. It has always been my passion to serve students in all their different learning styles and abilities! 

I have experience working with all students ranging Kindergarten through 8th grade. Disabilities that I have worked with include ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, SLD (Specific Learning Disability) in literacy and math, and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

My husband, Rusty, and I have two sweet girls, Kinley (14) and Karsyn (7). We live on a farm in Arkansas where we raise all kinds of animals including Boxer puppies!
